One of my earliest memories is, as a child barely able to walk, taking a crayon and drawing a line around the interior of my house’s freshly painted walls. Then, taking another crayon and repeating this process until my parents caught me. Since then, I have had a fascination with creating art based on my surroundings. Taking the time to reflect on the people and places around me is meditative and cathartic for me, and I aim to evoke that same connection to our neighbors and neighborhoods from people viewing my work.

My practice includes photography, rotoscope animation, projection, spoken word and code aimed at creating multimedia portraits (and landscapes). I use new media and portraiture to provide an interface for human movement and computer processes, investigating the space between corporeality and abstraction.

My work has been exhibited at the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale, FL; Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, NY; Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning, Queens, NY; Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education, Bronx, NY; and FATVillage Projects, Fort Lauderdale, FL. Past residencies include ACRE (Steuben, WI), Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (Queens, NY), and Casita Maria (Bronx, NY), as well as membership in Civic Hall Labs’ accelerator program (NYC).
